Upcoming events at Klamath County Museums
History of Malin Community Park – Malin Historical Society President Ryan Bartholomew will review the history of Malin Community Park at the September monthly meeting of the Klamath County Historical Society, 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Klamath County Museum. Free admission.
Baldwin Hotel Flashlight Tours – See the Baldwin Hotel Museum at night, when flashlights are used to bring out artifacts in a way you've never seen them before! Pre-paid reservations required. $10 per person. Tours will be offered Fridays and Saturdays, Sept. 28-29, Oct. 5-6. Call 541-882-1000 to reserve space.
Link River Low Water Walk – A walking history tour focusing on how Link River was altered in the early 1900s will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. Meet at Putnam Point. Cosponsored by the Klamath County Museum and the Klamath Basin Area Office of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
"Highway Builders" – A program on construction of highways in the Klamath Basin in the 1920s-'50s will be presented at the Oct. 25 meeting of the Klamath County Historical Society. Program at 7 p.m. at the Klamath County Museum.
